About Us

Our Story: How Season of Gratitude was born.

Season of Gratitude was born out of one of the most challenging and meaningful chapters of our lives. When my 91-year-old mother, who struggled with memory issues, and her 95-year-old husband, who faced physical challenges, came to live with us, everyone told us, “You’ll never regret this decision.”  and they were right — we didn't regret it but it was the hardest season we’ve ever faced.

My husband and I are software engineers, and we knew nothing about elder care.  As we navigated this new reality, I realized something profound: no matter how much we gave, my mother and her husband still expressed frustration. At first, I called it complaining but then I understood—they were losing control of their lives and didn’t know how to cope.

So, I tried something simple. Every day, I asked my mother to name five things she was grateful for—no repeats allowed. It was harder for her than I expected. Here was a kind and loving woman with six children, 13 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren, struggling to find gratitude. That shocked me.  Life had become overwhelming for her.

But on the days she was able to articulate five gratitude items, something changed.  Her life started to have more space to handle the world around her.  She was happier. That’s when I thought: How can I help her feel gratitude throughout the day?

We bought a digital photo frame and loaded it with 200 images based on our travels and paired them with inspirational quotes that fostered gratitude. We placed it by the kitchen table and soon my mother was reading each quote aloud, sparking conversations with her husband about their life together. They were smiling and reconnecting.  The small act of reading gratitude quotes changed all of our lives forever.

That simple idea grew into something bigger. We realized that so many people need gentle reminders of gratitude—every day in every way. And so, Season of Gratitude was born: a mission to inspire and nurture gratitude in everyday life—through meaningful products and experiences that help people pause, reflect, and appreciate the beauty around them.

Season of Gratitude – Living the Golden Rule of Appreciation
At Season of Gratitude, we believe in the simple yet powerful idea that gratitude should be shared as generously as we hope to receive it. When we take time to truly appreciate others—to see them, value them, and express our thanks—we create a ripple of kindness that touches hearts and transforms lives.

Gratitude is more than a feeling—it’s a way of living with empathy, compassion, and connection. It reminds us that the good we experience often comes from beyond ourselves, and that recognizing this goodness deepens our sense of joy and belonging.

We invite you to embrace the Four A’s of Gratitude—a gentle guide to living with more awareness and appreciation:

  • Attention: Notice the beauty, kindness, and blessings in your everyday life.
  • Acknowledge: Recognize the moments, people, and experiences that bring you joy.
  • Appreciate: Feel and express thankfulness for what you have and who you are.
  • Act: Let your gratitude shine through your actions—be kind, be generous, and nurture your relationships.

When we live with gratitude, we not only uplift ourselves—we inspire others to do the same. That’s the heart of the Season of Gratitude: a movement to create a world where appreciation is felt, shared, and celebrated every day.
